Leader CNC Opens Its Doors to Productivity

From the 18th to 20th November 2008, Leader CNC will be opening its doors and demonstrating the capabilities of its DMC/DMS range of turning centres and Kitamura machining centres. The November Open House will provide manufacturers with an opportunity to see the productivity and capability levels of this range of quality machines.

The range of vertical, horizontal and 5-axis machines is already well established in the UK and new models will be launched at Jimtof in Tokyo.

The range of DMC and DMS machines from Ilrim NanoTec Group will be an excellent opportunity for UK customers to view the machines in detail since the company acquired a controlling interest in SMEC (Samsung Machine Tool Engineering Company). As well as manufacturing machine tools these companies produce high added value components such as oil coolers and hydraulic systems for the construction of many prestigious machine tools manufacturers. The event at Leader CNC’s headquarters in Nuneaton will have a selection of cost effective turning centres, with capabilities and productivity levels that will whet any appetite.

As Leader CNC’s Sales Director, Mr Mike Serzeniewski comments: “The DMC and DMS range of CNC lathes offers an extremely cost effective solution for manufacturers demanding high levels of precision, productivity and capability. The fact that these machines have components common in very high-end and prestigious machine tools demonstrates their quality, which is coupled with an economy level based on volume supply that will appeal to any manufacturer.”

Machines on show will include turn only, turn/mill and gang-type CNC lathes, the latter becoming more popular due to rapid usage of tool posts with no turret indexing resulting in faster machining times. The lathe specifications include efficient chip removal systems, 10 or 12 station block or VDI turrets, tool-setters, powerful spindle motors and unsurpassed stability that makes them ideal for hard turning and operations that demand a high level of precision; something Leader CNC will be keen to demonstrate. For enhanced productivity the range of machines offers options that include collet chucks, part catchers and sub-spindles.

To accommodate the needs of manufacturers keen to enhance the performance of their machining centre section, Leader CNC will also be demonstrating machines from the renowned range of Kitamura machining centres.

Leader CNC plans not only to demonstrate the machining capability of Kitamura, but equip a machine with a calibration system allowing customers to check and monitor machine accuracy over a period of time, confirming the concept that part accuracy and consistency is only as good as the equipment used to make it.
